\centerline{\bf Using The Sequoias Pool and Spa}
\bigskip
1. The pool and spa will be available for use from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
daily, for all residents and their accompanied guests. The pool and the
spa are not to be used unless at least one additional person is in the
building.
2. Each user of the facilities will be expected to sign up (in a book kept
near the entrance to the pool building) and to record his or her entering
and leaving times. These records are needed for safety reasons and to
enable us to learn usage patterns. They supplement but do not replace
records made for billing purposes at the front desk in the main building.
3. Residents should feel free to inviting friends and family to use the
facilities with them. Residents should, however, try to restrict the use
of the pool by children under sixteen, particularly if there are several
of them, to times when the pool is not being used by other residents, the
times between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. being recommended. Residents are
expected to preregister their guests, as noted below, and be present in
the pool building with them at all times.
4. The monthly fee for all regular users of the pool and spa will be set
initally at \$10 per person and the fee for the occasional resident user
who chooses not to sign up by the month and for all guests will be \$2.00
per usage per person. All charges will be included in the Sequoias' monthly
billings. These figures will be revised from time to time, probably at the
same time as revisions are made in other fees by the administration.
5. Residents who sign up on a monthly basis will be issued keys to the
pool building. These keys are non-transferable and are not to be loaned
to others. The occasional resident user and all users with guests will be
expected to sign up at the front desk where they can get temporary keys
which must then be returned. Residents and their guests are asked not to
enter the main building while in bathing attire.
6. For reasons of safety and sanitation, no food or breverages are to be
allowed in the pool building. Also excluded are such items as band-aids,
sun-tan lotions, skin creams and other materials that could contaminate
the water, and glass and small metal objects such as bobby pins and hair
pins that might fall and be stepped on or that might enter the water
circulating system.
7. Users of the pool and particularly users of the spa are cautioned not
to remain in the water too long. Build up your tolerance gradually, note
the time on entering the water and only allow yourself a predetermined
period of usage. A separate information sheet regarding safe usage of the
spa will be supplied by our health department.
8. Special transportation arrangements will be made for residents who find
it difficult to negotiate the hill, but such arrangements will have to be
made well in advance. Please let us know your needs.
